Fall Fest in Sister Bay is very special. There are artists' booths set up right in front of Pipka's shop, and vendors line the streets with scrumptious foods to enjoy. Santa and Mrs. Claus make a return visit to ride in the parade and greet everyone at Pipka's before they have to go back to the North Pole and finish his Christmas preparations. Pipka will have special cakes and cookies to nibble, her wonderful flavored coffees, and specials inside the shop, too. Fall is a beautiful season in Door County...come have your picture taken with Santa for your holiday card!
St. Nicholas Day, December 6, is observed in many countries of the world, where children wake to find presents in their shoes or stockings. St. Nicholas was born in the third century and became a bishop in a small town in Turkey. He was known for his kindness and generosity to poor people, especially children. Each year on December 6, from midnight to midnight, Pipka’s of Door County celebrates with a “free shipping” day (one address per order). If you haven’t finished your Christmas shopping by St. Nicholas Day, go online, call our toll-free number, or come into the shop.
